William R. Chandler

William R. Chandler has thirty years of experience representing corporations, governmental entities, small businesses, insurance companies, and individuals.  Bill's practice has been primarily concentrated​ in the areas of commercial and business litigation, construction law, and administrative law. 

 

Over the years, Bill's practice has included the litigation of a variety of complex commercial and business matters, including products liability, governmental liability, personal injury, insurance defense, and employment matters. 

 

In the construction field, Bill has experience representing general contractors, architects, engineers, subcontractors, owners, and developers.  His practice extends from the preparation and negotiation of contract documents to the resolution of disputes before courts and arbitration panels. 

 

Having practiced law in the state's capital city for thirty years, Bill has represented clients in administrative proceedings before a number of agencies, including the Alabama Public Service Commission, the Alabama Department of Environmental Management, and others. 

 

Bill currently serves as an Administrative Law Judge for contested case hearings involving the State of Alabama Health Planning and Development Agency, having been appointed by the governor in 2011.     

 

A native of Montgomery, Bill received his B.A. in Political Science​ from Vanderbilt University in 1986.  He is a 1989 graduate of the University of Alabama School of Law.  Bill is the proud father of two sons, William, 21, a senior at the University of the South, and Carter, 19, a freshman at Washington and Lee University.
